COMING TOGETHER IN FAITH

Making an Impact

There are lots of ways to get involved and make a difference at our church. Here, you can explore the unique ways you can participate in our community and help us connect and grow. Our ministries are offered based on the needs presented in the congregation or community.

MINISTRIES AT CCFMC

Connecting through Ministry

Joining a ministry is a way to connect further with our community and partake in quality time together. Our ministries set aside time to get to know each other, discuss beliefs, celebrate each other, and help organize events for the church!

If you are interested in being part of a ministry team, please contact Pastor Kim directly.

Kids Ministry

Under the direction of the Children’s Ministry Team Leader, this team gathers quarterly to pray, plan and dream together for the Sunday morning Jr Church time with the kids, and at Fourth Friday Kid’s Club (monthly time with the kids). They participate in dramas, special music numbers, hands-on learning activities, and more!

We currently do not have a youth ministry, but we are growing into a young teen ministry and are planning on developing a program to suit their needs.

Adult Ministry

Our Adult Ministry is under the direction of the Adult Ministry Team Leader, and this group organizes and prepares for connection time after the worship service on Sundays, with coffee and some truly great home baking!

They also are active in organizing family fun events periodically throughout the year, and they participate with the pastor to find study resources for small groups and Bible studies.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

Be Part of a Team

The church is the people, so what the church is able to do is directly related to what the people are willing and able to do! We all have different talents and abilities so everyone can find a ministry ‘’fit’ - some of our teams are described below. Serving on some of the teams requires membership first. As you get to know us and we get to know you, please let Pastor Kim know your desire to serve.

Property Management Team

The Property Management Team (PMT) is responsible for the church’s buildings, property and equipment to ensure that everything is clean, well maintained and safe. They oversee and schedule maintenance and replacement of equipment and respond appropriately and timely to emergency repair or replacement requests, as well as new capital purchase requests, prioritizing work within the committee’s budget and recruiting volunteers or trades to accomplish the tasks.

Governance Board

This group of leaders oversees both the spiritual life and health of the church as well as the administration of the church (organization, budget, etc.). They keep an eye on the big picture, dream God-sized dreams, set the direction for the church and develop and write policies as needed. They oversee the work of the teams and committees but try not to micromanage! They also serve as a prayer group, sounding board and support for the pastor.

Stewards/Congregational Care

Stewards are very active and hands-on in their main role of congregational care. They ensure the communion elements are ready monthly for the Lord’s Supper, send cards (birthday, anniversary, graduation, new baby, wedding, get well, sympathy, etc.) because the church is a family, send flowers/plants when loved ones have passed away, organize potluck lunches, plan retreats, visit, make phone calls, host and plan events such as the Seniors Christmas Dinner – they are indeed hands-on!

Prayer Requests

Prayer requests are a call to action for the church to come together and pray for a collective cause or purpose. This can be for an event that has happened or is coming up, for a family, or particular individual.

If you have a need or have something going on in your life that you want prayer for, you can get in touch with our prayer coordinator through email or a phone call.
